Calendar Challenge 5

Cock a doodle do!

Cock a doodle do!
My dame has lost her shoe
My master's lost his fiddlestick,
And knows not what to do.

The origin of "Cock a Doodle Doo" dates back to 1606 where the first part was thought to mock the cockerel's crow.

The earliest version of the actual song was published in 1765 in Mother Goose's melody and used to be a very popular nursery rhyme in the mid-nineteenth century in England.

So who's ready for another calendar challenge?  This time Barbara has used the proud cockerel strutting his stuff with his hen.

This is a great little project using the small square canvas, chalk paints and stamping the wonderful birds on to card before applying them to the canvas.

We look forward to seeing this months entries!!
