For our current challenge "FLOWER POWER" please click here

We thought it would be nice to have spotlight posts throughout the month dedicated to our top 5 from the last challenge "LOVE AND ROMANCE"  We hope you enjoy reading about their crafting journey and you never know it could be you in the spotlight next month.

Sarah Stacy

I wouldn't really consider myself to be creative, but looking back I have dabbled with numerous creative things over the years including sewing and cross stitch.

About 5 months ago I started making cards initially as I thought it might be good to help my three year old son as I enjoyed making cards and gifts when I was a child.  It didn't take me long to realise that I still enjoyed making cards, so my obsession started!

I purchased a few bits and pieces and quickly learnt how much more stuff I needed.  My first Clarity purchase was the Gelli Plate, which I bought at the NEC in November after watching Barbara do some impressive demos.  I received my first Clarity stamps at Christmas along with the Clarity stencil brushes.

At the beginning of the year I thought creating a card each month to enter into the Clarity challenge might be fun and I might even see an improvement in what I'm producing over time.  It's a good excuse to slowly start building up my stash of Clarity stamps!

There were so many amazing entries and as it was only my second month of participating in the challenge I was extremely surprised (and very happy) to see my card picked as one of the Top 5.  I haven't told my husband yet as I don't want him to see the card until I hand it to him on our anniversary next month!

Here's Sarah's Anniversary card:
Sarah entered the challenge via email as she doesn't have
a blog so you could do the same too!
Send your entries to us at:
You don't have to miss out because you don't have a blog!
If you would like to find out more about the regular Clarity workshops run by members of the design team we have a page dedicated to them.  Click here for more information, there's even a map to help you.
If there isn't one in your area and you don't fancy travelling, please keep an eye out on the blog as we are gradually adding new workshops.  Why not subscribe to our blog and anything new will be sent out to you in an email.  That way you don't need to keep watching, you will be updated automatically.  You can also do the same on Barbara's blog too.  Check it out!
xx Happy crafting and Clarity hugs xx

  1. Great use of the gelli plate for the background and the NDC stamp too. Doesn't it give a different look when you colour the letters and then the background? Congratulations on your top 5 xx

  2. This is such a lovely card, the colours look great. It all just works. xx

  3. Thanks for your comments. I had a huge amount of trouble trying to get the background right and then when I stepped back and tried something different, it worked and adding the colour brought everything together. The finished card was nothing like the picture in my head when I started! x

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment, each one is read and greatly appreciated xx
