Challenge 9

Welcome to a new month!

We've now turned back the clocks, the nights are getting darker much earlier and it won't be long before the mornings take a little longer to lighten up too.  Most people would think that this is depressing, but not us crafters!  We take advantage of the winter and hibernate to our craft spaces and make the most of it.

********

Did you watch the launch of Barbara's new DVD, Artful Crafting, on Create and Craft?  What a mammoth weekendathon that was with three days of Clarity, Barbara and loads of techniques and tips. Barbara had a new pupil in the classroom in the form of Martyn and he did really well with his school work and got a gold star from the teacher.

The second launch of the month was Barbara's new blog, One Day At A Time.  Where does she find the time?  If you would like to follow her daily posts please click here.  Her poem for the blog is as follows and sets out her daily plan:

Monday's blog is trees and flowers
Tuesday's blog rolls back the hours
Wednesday's blog is something new
Thursday's blog is always blue
Friday's blog, a private peak
Saturday's blog, a new technique
But the blog which is posted on the Sabbath day
is step by step, and typical Gray!

Those wheels just keep on turning don't they?

The lucky winner of the £50 Clarity voucher and our top 5 can be found in the post below and the post below that announces the lucky winner of the DVD from our giveaway.

Here's the theme for our new challenge which will run throughout November:

Christmas
(using Clarity stamps ONLY)

The festive season will soon be upon us, although the shops have got their shelves full already.  This challenge will give you a chance to showcase your Christmas cards and projects or simply give you some inspiration to begin. There's a huge selection of Christmas stamps on the Clarity website so come and join in the fun.  Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way...

You could be the winner of this months £50 Clarity voucher.  Sound tempting?

The Clarity stamp challenge design team have had their own ideas on this theme too and they have really given you some great ideas to get you ready for the festive season.  If you'd like to know which stamps they've used please visit their personal blogs by clicking on their names.

Angela Simpson
(Guest Designer - winner from challenge 7)

Hello my name's Angela Simpson and I've been crafting since childhood, firstly knitting and sewing dolls clothes and then my own.  I love making cross stitch samples, though don't have as much time to do these as I used to.  I've been paper crafting in earnest for almost ten years now.

I first saw Barbara on Create and Craft about two years ago and just fell in love with her stamps and the techniques she demonstrates.  Since then I've had so much fun trying out lots of techniques, including the Gelli plate!!!!

Here's Angela's card for this month's challenge:
